“Indian Taekwondo Player Atul Raghav is all set for the Hero’s Cup 2021”
New Delhi : The Corona era was very challenging for the players. The sports complex remained closed and no place was found for practice with fellow players. International junior player Atul Raghav of Taekwondo practising for three to four hours continuously on the roof of the house to improve the game. In between, he also took online tips from his coach Sanjeev Chaurasia. Atul Raghav is an Indian Taekwondo Player better known for his undepictable game-play. He represented India and won Bronze medal in G-2 Fujairah Dubai 2020. Atul Raghav marked the history as he is the only Taekwondo Athlete from Ghaziabad who participated and won Bronze medal in G-Ranked championships. There was a time when Atul did not even have a uniform. He borrowed from his seniors for his first tournament. In his 8th grade, without telling his parents, he used to go to Mahamaya Stadium everyday with 10 rupees in his pocket for bus fare with his friend to learn MMA. After watching some classes, Atul started trying learning it himself. He watched videos of mixed martial arts and became interested in it. Since he did not get proper training to lack of academies, he practiced it himself. A self-made man, he practiced and completed a basic MMA course in 2017. Atul turned into a taekwondo athlete and achieved a lot in a short period of time.After winning the Bronze at the Taekwondo Championships held in Dubai at the G-2 International Fujairah in January, preparations for the Heroes International Taekwondo Championship to be held in Bangkok Thailand in the month of August. meanwhile that the lockdown stopped all sporting activities due to the Corona crisis in the middle. Atul Raghav says that he is constantly practicing to improve the game. However, the absence of mats at home poses a risk of slipping. Players of other sports are also practicing in practice to keep their games intact due to non-opening of the sports complex.
